Terms of Service
Last updated:
These Terms form an agreement between you and MatchHalf, operating from Punjab, Pakistan (“MatchHalf,” “we,” “us”), for the MatchHalf website and related services.
They describe account eligibility, acceptable conduct, content permissions, paid plans, cancellation, and legal rights. They do not exclude protections applicable law requires us to provide.
1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms govern your use of MatchHalf. Review them before registering or purchasing a plan. By accepting these Terms when creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not register or purchase services.
You must be at least 18, have legal capacity to enter this agreement, and be legally eligible to use the service where you live. Do not create an account for a minor. Provide truthful age, identity, and marital-status information. If you submit information about another adult, you must have their authorization and respect their choices; this does not permit impersonation or unauthorized access.
The Privacy Policy explains our data practices. Agreement to these Terms does not replace separate consent required for optional tracking or facial verification.
2. What MatchHalf provides
MatchHalf provides tools for matrimonial discovery, profile browsing, matching, connections, communication, communities, and related features. Available features and usage limits depend on your plan, account permissions, and the published offer.
We do not guarantee a match, response, relationship, marriage, or any particular number or quality of introductions. Member information may be inaccurate. A verification badge or similarity score reflects only the check described for that feature; it does not establish legal identity, criminal history, financial status, marital status, or personal safety.
Use your own judgment before sharing personal information, sending money, or meeting someone. Report suspected fraud or abuse through reporting tools or support. For an immediate threat, contact the appropriate local emergency service.
3. Accounts and security
Keep required account information accurate and current. Use only sign-in methods and accounts you are authorized to use. Protect passwords, verification codes, sessions, and private capture links. Notify support promptly about suspected unauthorized access.
You are responsible for your own actions and access you knowingly authorize. This does not make you responsible for activity caused by a security failure attributable to us or remove applicable legal rights. Do not transfer or sell accounts or evade restrictions.
4. Acceptable use and safety
You must not:
- Commit fraud, impersonate people, misrepresent material profile details, solicit money through deceptive relationship claims, or exploit members.
- Harass, threaten, stalk, coerce, discriminate against, or abuse anyone; share intimate material without consent; or post sexual exploitation content or sexual content involving minors.
- Publish another person’s private information, photos, documents, or communications without authorization, or infringe intellectual property or other rights.
- Send spam, scams, unauthorized advertising, malware, or links designed to steal credentials.
- Scrape or harvest member information; use unauthorized automated accounts; bypass privacy, payment, rate-limit, or security controls; or disrupt the service.
- Use member information to create surveillance databases, train AI systems, or market to members without necessary permission.
- Violate applicable law or encourage unlawful conduct.
Use blocking and reporting tools where appropriate. Community administrators may apply additional published rules consistent with these Terms. A report does not guarantee a particular moderation outcome.
5. Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of content you submit. You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload it and make it available to your chosen audience, including consent from people depicted where required.
You grant MatchHalf a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate the features you use, respect sharing settings, moderate the service, and meet applicable obligations. Necessary service providers may exercise those permissions on our behalf. This license does not authorize selling personal information or using private photos in unrelated advertising.
The license ends when content is erased from our systems, except for copies needed for applicable legal obligations, an existing dispute, or the limited backup lifecycle. Content shared with others can remain in their copies. We seek separate permission before using identifiable member content in testimonials or marketing outside the intended service audience.
6. Verification, recommendations, and AI
Facial verification requires the consent step described in the Privacy Policy. It checks motion consistency and photo resemblance, can produce incorrect results, and does not guarantee identity or safety. Remove your reference in verification settings or contact support about a result.
Automated suggestions, compatibility indicators, and AI replies are informational and may be incomplete, biased, or inaccurate. AI replies are generated by software, and prompts may be processed by the configured provider. They are not professional legal, medical, financial, or relationship advice. Check important information independently and do not use outputs to harm, deceive, or violate rights.
7. Paid plans, billing, and renewal
Before payment, review the selected plan, price, currency, taxes, billing interval, feature limits, and renewal terms at checkout. The offer shown when you purchase governs that purchase. Current web card checkout is supplied by Dodo Payments and uses recurring billing at the selected interval. Existing supported crypto agreements may use Cryptomus and may be one-time or recurring as stated in the agreement.
For a recurring purchase, you authorize the disclosed provider to charge the payment method or provider balance for each billing period until renewal is cancelled. A one-time purchase does not authorize automatic renewal. Payment processing is also subject to the provider’s applicable terms.
Payment must be confirmed before paid access is activated. A redirect or pending invoice does not prove payment succeeded. We give any notice required by law before a price or renewal-term change applies; changes do not retroactively alter completed charges.
8. Cancelling renewal and changing plans
For supported web recurring plans, use “Cancel renewal” in Subscription & Payments settings. Cancellation stops future renewal after the current paid period; paid access normally remains until that period ends. Check the confirmation and next-billing status, and contact support promptly if cancellation fails.
For a purchase managed by an app store or previous provider, use that provider’s cancellation controls or contact support. Plan changes may require cancelling renewal and purchasing the new plan after existing access expires, as the settings page explains.
Stopping use, signing out, deactivating a profile, or requesting closure is not a substitute for confirming cancellation of a recurring payment. Cancel renewal before closing the account, or contact support if you cannot access billing controls. This does not limit our legal obligations to stop charges.
9. Refund requests and consumer rights
MatchHalf has not adopted a blanket no-refunds rule. Cancelling renewal does not automatically refund a charge already paid. Request a refund or dispute an incorrect charge through [email protected] with the transaction reference, date, and reason; do not send full card details.
Refund requests are assessed against the purchase terms, payment provider’s process, and applicable consumer law. Additional refund conditions must be clearly disclosed before purchase to apply to that purchase. Nothing removes a mandatory refund, cooling-off, cancellation, or remedy right, including rights relating to unauthorized charges or services not supplied as required.
A good-faith billing complaint or exercise of statutory rights is not itself a breach of these Terms. App store purchases may require a refund request to that store.
10. Moderation and restrictions
We may review reports, limit distribution, remove content, or restrict accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, investigate fraud or abuse, protect people or the service, or comply with law. Urgent safety or security concerns can require immediate action.
Where appropriate and legally permitted, we provide a reason or notice and an opportunity to contact support for review. We do not promise to pre-screen every profile or message. Restrictions on paid access and resulting refunds remain subject to applicable consumer law.
11. Account closure
Request closure in Account & sign-in settings. The current flow provides 30 days to cancel before the account is marked deleted. Deactivation, closure, and erasure of stored records are distinct; the Privacy Policy explains personal-data erasure requests and retention exceptions.
After access ends, obligations concerning outstanding charges, misuse, intellectual property, existing disputes, and rights that by their nature continue can remain applicable. Closure does not waive rights accrued beforehand.
12. MatchHalf intellectual property
Branding, software, and service materials remain owned by MatchHalf or their respective rights holders. Use the service for its intended purposes under these Terms. Do not copy, resell, or redistribute protected materials, remove ownership notices, or reverse engineer restricted software except where law permits. This does not limit ownership of your own content or lawful statutory exceptions.
For copyright or other rights complaints, contact support with the material’s location, the right you claim, the basis of the complaint, and contact details. We may request information necessary to assess it.
13. Third-party services and links
Sign-in providers, payment providers, AI tools, external links, and independently organized community activities may have their own terms and privacy notices. We do not control independent services or member conduct outside MatchHalf. Using an external service does not remove our responsibility for our own obligations.
14. Availability and changes
Features can be unavailable because of maintenance, faults, provider outages, or reasonable safety measures. We may improve or change features, with appropriate notice for material changes to paid services where required. We do not promise uninterrupted access or error-free suggestions.
If we discontinue or materially fail to provide a purchased service, remedies and refunds are governed by the purchase terms and applicable law. Nothing here permits avoiding mandatory service-quality obligations.
15. Responsibility and legal protections
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant independent member content or guarantee relationship outcomes. We are not responsible for losses caused solely by another person’s independent unlawful conduct or losses not reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was made, except where law imposes responsibility on us.
Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Mandatory consumer protections, statutory warranties, and remedies remain available.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Punjab, Pakistan, subject to mandatory protections where you live. Courts with competent jurisdiction may hear disputes. Nothing requires giving up a consumer forum, complaint process, or local court right provided by law.
You may contact support to resolve an issue, but doing so is not a prerequisite to exercising a statutory right or filing a claim where law permits. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver.
17. Changes to these Terms
We publish revisions here and update the date. Material changes are notified through the service or an appropriate account communication before taking effect where required, and we seek renewed acceptance when required. Changes do not retroactively remove rights relating to earlier purchases or disputes.
If a provision is unenforceable, the rest continues to the extent permitted by law. Delayed enforcement does not waive a right. Mandatory local rules take priority over conflicting provisions.
