You can delete your MatchHalf account and the personal data linked to it at any time, from the app, the website, or by email.
1. Delete your account in the app
- Open MatchHalf and sign in.
- Tap your photo, then the menu (☰) and Settings.
- Open Account & sign-in and choose Deactivate / Delete Account.
- Select Delete account, give a reason, type DELETE and confirm.
2. Delete your account on the website
Sign in at matchhalf.com/settings, open Account & sign-in, and use Deactivate / Delete Account.
3. Can’t sign in?
Email [email protected] from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my MatchHalf account”, and include your username if you know it. We may ask you to confirm ownership before deleting anything. Never send your password.
4. What is deleted and when
- Straight away: your deletion request is recorded. You can cancel it from Account & sign-in for 30 days if you change your mind.
- After 30 days: your account is closed and removed from MatchHalf. Your profile, photos, posts, comments, likes, connections, preferences and verification data are deleted, and other members can no longer see or message you.
- Kept for a limited time: payment and transaction records, and records needed for safety reports, fraud prevention or legal obligations, are kept only as long as the law requires and then deleted.
- Messages you sent stay visible to the people you sent them to, shown as from a deleted member.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store. Cancel it in your store account first. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle data.
