MatchHalf is for adults only. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation, and this page sets out how we prevent, find and report it.
1. Adults only
MatchHalf is a marriage and matchmaking service for adults. You must be at least 18 to create or use an account, and every profile has to give a date of birth before it can browse, match or message. Accounts that turn out to belong to anyone under 18 are removed.
2. Zero tolerance for CSAE
We prohibit any child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content or behaviour that sexualises, grooms, exploits or endangers children. This covers profiles, photos, posts, comments, communities and private messages. Our Terms of Service forbid it, and breaking this rule means permanent removal from MatchHalf.
3. How to report
- In the app: use Report on any profile, post, comment or message. Reports go straight to our safety team.
- By email: write to [email protected] with the subject “Child safety report”. Please don’t attach illegal images; describe where you saw them instead.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency services first.
4. What we do
- Child safety reports are reviewed first, ahead of other reports.
- We remove CSAM and related content as soon as we find it, and ban the accounts involved and block them from coming back.
- We report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant national authorities, and we preserve evidence for and cooperate with law enforcement as the law requires.
- Members can block anyone at any time, and control who can message them.
5. Compliance with the law
MatchHalf follows the child safety laws that apply in the countries where we operate, and Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy.
6. Child safety contact
Our designated contact for child safety questions and CSAE matters is the MatchHalf safety team at [email protected].
